Forbidden City: Potrait of an Empress

Caught Potrait of an Empress yesterday evening,

Heard of the only Empress of China? Empress Cixi? Or commonly known as the Dragon Lady during her reign. Empress Cixi was supposedly ruthless, terrorizing her subjects and being an all round bad guy/woman. The musical introduces Cixi as a different person, and most of the musical would be flashbacks to Cixi's younger days, when she was known as Yenehara, a concubine in the Emperor's court, and how she survived China's traditions and other trials and tribulations. Interested huh? Its an intriging and realistic representation of the Chinese court, and with the various historical tidbits to spice it up, it adds up to be quite enriching actually.

Back to the story. An American painter, Kate Carl, was invited to paint Cixi's potrait. However, because she needs to know more about Cixi in order to paint her eyes correctly, she gets the opportunity to have a peek into Cixi's life story... this is where the story begins. I shan't spoil the story for you because there are so many twists in plot.

Kit is fantastic or in fact the entire cast is fabulous. Hossan Leong, our Record Keeper Number One. Keep a look out for this guy! His humourous antics inject a sense of light-heartedness in the show. Two thumbs up for his efforts!

"We the SRT, thank you for coming. We hope you enjoyed the production! SISTIC's gonna love me for this... When you go outside, do yourself a favour and SMS everyone you know to let them know how WONDERFUL it was. Then later go home and e-mail spam the whole world. Once again, thank you for your support!"

-Hossan Leong.

The company, the backbone of every musical, was also very good in enhancing the overall presentation of the production. Kudos to the cast of Forbidden City! You did an excellent job!

Forbidden City: Potrait of an Empress was truly enjoyable. I would recommend it to anybody. It is rather impressive, especially for a local production. Catch it if you can!

11B Is Back!

It's back.

Mr Liz.Freeze!

Noticed something dangling when adjusting the car's air-con window lever. Eek! A lizard body! Probably just dead as I didn't realize it dangling there previously. How on earth did it came into the car? And into the air-con vault? Felt abit uncomfortable as the air was blowing from there. Imagine, pass by it then to me. Germs! I thought of removing it using a pincer when I reached home but as soon as I reached SIM, it fell down to the bottom of the window. Hard to take out from there but I'm thinking of trying when I reached home. When class ended, I went home straight. Guess what? The lizard disappear. Don't know where it go. I'm sure it's dead and it couldn't have evaporated, the only reason that I could think of is that it fell into the pipes. What?? That means I can't get it out? That means all the air will be filled with the stench? Eek!

Bike Sold

It's abit too unbelieving as the total time to sell the bike is less than 30 minutes.  Yesterday, the buyer came to my side to view the bike.  What amaze me is that he didn't even test the bike, just see the bike information and check there's nothing wrong with the appearance with the bike then pass me the deposit.  The whole meeting did not last for more than 10 minutes.  Though I want the transaction to be fast but this is abit too fast to believe.  This morning I proceed to the bike shop as the buyer wants the administrative part to be settled by them.  Again, I reached there for less than 15 minutes and the deal is done.  I pass them my 11B and signed 3 papers.  Now, I admit that I should have seen what is written in the papers before signing it.  I just called them up and ask what did I sign and the lady told me that it's the receipt voucher, application for transfer pin and transfering of ownership.  They are going to pass me back my 11B in a few days time.  Hope that they won't use it to do anything bad to me.  This kind of thing is scary.

Eye witnessed an overturned van after BKE exit toward PIE Tuas yesterday.  It's raining constantly and roads are slippery, the van must be turning at high speed at the corner to cause the overturn.  A trailer and a motorcycle behind it.  Saw 2 guys next to the motorcycle at the road shoulder, one looks injured lying on the legs of another.  Went through the papers today but didn't see reports on it.

Quite busy since morning, started reading paper.  Yes!  The papers finally came, spent an hour plus to finish it.  Proceeded to the pre sociology lecture reading.  Now taking some time off to blog and then to aunt house to get mum's stuff.  Not many great news today, papers are filled with IMF summaries and Glenn is getting sad over them leaving tomorrow.  Roads opening and once again, Suntec City will be bust with business.  Wonder how much they lost during this meeting?  Maybe they should have this discussion during there IMF meetings, Profits reviewing before, during and after every IMF meetings?  Well, it might be too insignificant to even mention.

Visited a few bike shops yesterday and guess the max these shops can offer is only 1.4k.  2 guys suppose to meet me yesterday but in the end, broke their words.  Today, meeting this guy, Kelvin at 5.30pm, wonder if he's the one?  Lets see.

Straits Times Missing

During the World Food Fair, quite surprised seeing a SPH booth at a corner.  I was thinking to myself, "SPH turning in food industry?" They are actually asking for subscribers through the fair.  Since long, I have been thinking of getting papers on a regular basis so why not take this promotion period.  They are providing me a year supply and 6 months of Newsweek for $264.  Wanted the cute girl to serve me but she's busy in explaining to some uninterested old man so I have no choice but to let this guy who looks like he's here to slack to entertain me.  From him, the first copy will come today.  But then, I DIDN'T SEE ANY TODAY!!!  Since it's early in the morning, I decided to send an email to them asking for an explanation.  Couple of hours later, I have yet to receive any reply so I called them up.  Keep putting me on this, "Sorry, All our operators are busy at the moment.  Please hold or press 1 to leave a voice message."  What is this?  SPH is trying to cheat my $264?  Don't think so..   Shortly after, this girl from SPH called, quite tactical I must say.  Explanation wise is what I expected.  Pushing blame.  "It's our vendor's fault and we will adjust your subscription accordingly."  Hello girl, I work in the service industry for long and this reason has always been ranked number one.  Anyway, since it's coming tomorrow.  Let's just wait.

Till now, my Phantom is parked and awaiting for buyers.  No serious buyers since.  I repost the ad and just then got 2 called asking and 1 is meeting me soon.  Think the reason for the slow sale is the milleage and the dent.  Haiz.. Any interested buyers, please leave a message after the tone.. Beep!

Sunday Morning - Eek!

Eek!  I was awake by wierd sounds.  Think I started hearing this since don't know what time but subconsiously I know this sound exists though I continue to sleep.  It's the sound like you know kids playing marbles above your level but this time it isn't marble.  The sound is more solid, perhaps golf balls and it's moving as in, it fades away and come back near you.  The worse thing is that before I start to realize this, I was awake by a wierd dream.  Something very unclear now, regarding a kid still in a building when people are all rushing out from the building.  It's like 李心洁's film, someone realize that the kid is missing and next I open my eyes then comes with the sounds.  Eek!

My first step into this new hometown. Had quite a lot of problems as I signed in before so it's hard for me to remember the username and password. Anyway, I did it! I came in obviously need some welcome from you.

I am now talking to 5Cs now. Seems like he has a bit of problems himself, mainly with Jamie and Hew. He's tearing now and in fact if one guy bears to tear for a girl, hey girl, you are fortunate. But anyone would if pictures of the lovely dovely is in front of you. Hey Cs, Cheer up! Brown's awaiting you.

I'm now in the OPs room, well less than month till I get back my pink IC. Loads of stuff coming from mono_X_ierra entertaining me with nicely done-up pictures. Cookhouse auntie wants me to sign the ration but I remembered that I've done that.

Watched quite a bit of drama's lately, been into Japanese dramas. Wow~ Japanese girls are hot! Some to recommend One Litre of Tears, Attention Please and currently Gokusen.

University life is tough, I must say. Especially Sociology, sounds like an interesting module right? Though it's seems friendly, it's horrible. In secondary school, we were told about Karl Marx. Now you will get to know Max Weber, Durkham, Giddens and many more. Gosling is a scary grandmother, Porntipa is nice but think she started to know me. Not because I raise my hands in her lecture but when she asked me questions, I couldn't answer! Oh no.. I tried reading up, doing her tutorials today and let's see what she will say on Tuesday.

Marketing isn't about bullshitting anymore. It's what something shirley will like most. Memorising concepts and theory. And not forgetting Patricia, the ultimate GPMG accent! POA is still manageable, I'm going to finish up the tutorials lately. Ms Chu is nice. IBM is also what shirley likes. Back to the 5 decision making process and stuff. Nageb is sarcastic and I'm wondering why students are still laughing at themselves.
